NIHC – 7th World Congress on Stress

0

25 augustus 2011 – 27 augustus 2011

Gorlaeus Laboratoria, Leiden University

This meeting is an official satellite of the 23rd Congress of the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ECNP) which will be held nearby in Amsterdam (28 August – 01 September, 2010) (www.ecnp.eu).

The 7th World Congress follows the themes of the previous successful World Congresses held in Bethesda, USA (1994); Melbourne, Australia (1999); Dublin, Ireland (2000); Edinburgh, Scotland (2002); London, UK (2004); and Vienna, Austria (2007). The proximity of the 7th World Congress on Stress in Leiden and the 23rd Congress of the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ECNP) in Amsterdam will again enable colleagues to choose to take part in both meetings.

The unique feature of this and the past six World Congresses is the integration of the clinical aspects and basic scientific mechanisms of stress. In particular the meeting aims to expand further our understanding of the underlying biological processes of stress, their role in many clinical disorders as well as to enhance our understanding of the management of stress and the treatment of the disorders that stress causes or contributes to.

The 7th World Congress on Stress will, like previous meetings, have Invited Addresses, parallel sessions for clinical and basic sciences and symposia. Symposia submissions are now being called for and abstract submission will follow soon after.
